Bible Study, Fellowship and Prayer

Those who pray together, stay together....
This applies to people, but just as well to churches! For this reason we have launched a team-wide Bible Study which meets on Tuesdays around the three parish churches in the Team on a rotating basis:
• in the Vestry Lounge at St Nathanael’s,
• in the Chapel at St Aidan’s,
• and in the Song Room at St Mary’s.
In a free and open way, we are exploring the Bible, with plenty of room for queries, quandaries, even quibbles! Having a healthy faith in God means sometimes ‘wrestling’ with Scripture. It requires no prior knowledge of the Bible, just a certain amount of curiosity, and more often than not a sense of humour!
We start at 7pm, and after a good hour of Bible Study, we break for fellowship around tea, coffee and biscuits, and then we wind up the session with prayer, ending at 8.30pm.
If you can’t come to a given session, given your schedule, or the date, or the distance from home, no worries—Come when you can, and come as you are. The sessions will move around among the three churches, so that if you’re not in a position to travel much at that time in the evening, we’ll be in your ‘neck of the woods’ every third time. Know that we are also able to offer rides to the sessions, so please give Ian (the Team curate) a ring at 523 6626.
Hope you’ll be able to join us. For dates and venues in the coming weeks, please see the Calendar of Events.
